Under the leadership of Party Committee and its administration, Scientific Research Department takes charge of scientific research management. The major responsibilities of the Department are the following work: scientific research and development plan, annual working plan, the formulation and implementation of managerial systems and policies, the application, approval and end of the projects of all kinds at various levels, routine inspection and supervision, and achievements transformation, the management of scientific and technological achievements and intellectual property rights, the organization of the application for the national and provincial awards of scientific research achievements and other awards supported by the non-governmental organizations, the arrangement of academic exchanges and lectures on and off campus. Besides, it is also in charge of routine work of academic board and scientific research management, providing research faculties with support and services, as well as offering decision-making basis for the formulation of scientific and technological research policies of the university. In addition, it serves as Poverty Alleviation Office, carrying out the scientific and technological alleviation work.
